We went to the seaside on Sunday... to Bigbury on Sea.

We built the most enormous sandcastle which we named Castle Hearts Burgh...

We rock pooled and played catch, eat egg sandwiches and ice cream...

Watched the sun go down into the sea...
and wended our way home...

  1. Lovely! We were thinking about going to the seaside on Saturday but it's quite a long way away and the roads are really bad and there were traffic jams everywhere. So we stayed at home and sat in the garden and looked at the late blooming roses and sunflowers and planted saffron crocuses.

  2. It looks idyllic, how wonderful to live so close to the sea :)

    Have a delicious day!

  4. Oh Wow! We were going there on Sunday and I changed my mind at the last minute! That would have been amazing to have recognised this fantastic castle. Bigbury is a lovely place and the Venus cafe has chips that stay in my memory a little bit too long! ;)

  9. Oh, there's truly nothing like the seaside. I grew up at the ocean (Long Beach Peninsula, Washington State, U.S.), and the scent of salt air always takes me home.
