Charity shop treasure...

Friday, 9 October 2009

I found a beautiful little denby milk jug for tea tray outings, and 2 of the most vibrant handpainted striped mugs ever! All waiting for me at the charity shop. I also bought a short tweed coat, but more on that later... it needs doctoring.... before being unvieled to the world.

And because Im feeling utterly exhausted, low, and generally slug like today (maybe its the rain?) Ive cheered myself up by ordering some stunning new leathers for making a pile of bags for Fairysteps. Including some new styles which I hope will end up on some customers Christmas lists!!!

Now Im off to pull myself together, light the Rayburn, make a big hot steamy pot of tea in my very round brown teapot, find a cup and saucer, fill up the little denby jug with fresh milk, indulge in a half teaspoon of sugar and settle myself by the fire...

  1. What a lucky find..... Loving the bright colours....Reading your lovely post has encouraged me to put the kettle on and make a pot of hot tea.
I have been following your blog for quite a while now(sounds like I'm a stalker *laughs*) and wait with great eagerness for your posts....they are entertaining and informative. It looks you have a fun and contented like.
Well I hope you feel better soon..until then..
    Peace and light

  2. What a lovely little jug, it's always special to come across these little treasures and give them a new home! Don't you think tea always tastes better served in a cup and saucer? It sounds like you're going to be a busy bee before Christmas.... will await new offerings as many pressies to buy and your bags are sooo tempting!
    Have fun, always
